Hello wonderful Fae & Fauna supporters – happy november!
Fall colors, crunchy leaves, chill in the air… we’re truly in the thick of the cozy season. So let’s say goodbye to the month of October with an awaited dev log update of Fae & Fauna. 🍂
We announced the latest update for our playtest just last week, so I won’t be going into that too much. I do just want to say that we hope you’re enjoying the updates, and we appreciate your continued help and support with the feedback.
But sure, we’re running a playtest and building the game, you already know that…
But what does that actually mean? How do we REALLY spend our hours in the studio?
Since we haven’t shared an update in a little while, today we’ll be showing you some of the team’s highlights of what has been done during the past few weeks:
Environment has been getting loads of love lately with new foliage, buildings, and general life and buzz popping up all over. Here are some breathtaking screenshots to give you an idea of the magic being created. 🪴
Our very talented interns have also been busy working on the villages of our Knytt buddies. It has become a bit of a gourd-fest, which felt perfect for the month of October. Personally, I have never wanted to be a Knytt so badly before. 🎃

Speaking of the Knytt, we’ve been working a lot on their own design variations too. Here’s a taste of some of the ones who are sporting the latest Knytt fashions.
It’s not only the PEOPLE of Saltwick who wish to stay well dressed! 🎩
Some of the other life forms of the islands are also getting some updates. These mushrooms might want to bite your fingers off, but they’re such cuties while also being perfectly themed for fall, so who can resist them. 🍄🟫

Let’s finish the tour strong by showing off the Crystal Cave. Keep your sword at the ready, these tunnels are not safe… but, what’s a little danger compared to the absolute beauty of the crystals surrounding you. ✨
That was a bit of a list, and it only begins to scratch the surface of what we’ve been busy with for these past few months. This dev log is a start though, and moving forward you can expect smaller and more frequent updates from us. In the discord they will be ongoing, with a longer summary going up on the website monthly.
Wishing you all an amazing start to the new month!
